Draw Timings, Nagaland State Lottery
Draw timings for nagaland state lottery players in India, how it works, what it costs and how long it takes.
What Is Nagaland State Lottery Draw Timings?
The Nagaland State Lottery runs three government-supervised draws every day of the year, each locked to a fixed IST time slot: Dear Morning at 11:55 AM, Dear Day at 4:00 PM, and Dear Evening at 8:00 PM. Draw timings are not guidelines, they are the legal boundary that determines which result your ticket competes in. A Dear Morning ticket is only valid for the 11:55 AM draw on its printed date; it cannot roll into the Evening draw or carry over to the next day.
Each daily slot also carries a named weekly series. Monday runs Dear Parrot, Tuesday runs Dear Flamingo, Wednesday runs Dear Eagle, and so on through Sunday. A complete ticket reference reads: Dear Parrot Monday Evening, 8:00 PM, 07/09/2026. The Nagaland State Lotteries Directorate in Kohima conducts every draw using a randomised drum machine under an independent Drawing Officer. Results are published within 20 minutes of each draw on the official portal.
Draw Timings Safety and Timing
Authorised retailers stop selling tickets 30 minutes before each draw: by 11:25 AM for Morning, 3:30 PM for Day, and 7:30 PM for Evening. Online buyers using UPI platforms such as PhonePe, Google Pay, or BHIM should add a further 10-minute buffer during peak hours (7:45 to 8:00 PM), when network congestion can push payment settlement past the cut-off window. Set a personal deadline 45 minutes before draw time when paying digitally.
On the claims side, timing is equally critical. Prizes up to ₹10,000 are claimable at any authorised retailer within 30 days of the draw date. Prizes above ₹10,000 must be presented at the Nagaland Lotteries Directorate or a designated District Treasury office, again within 30 days. No extensions are granted; unclaimed prizes revert to the state. Photograph both sides of your ticket immediately after purchase as a backup reference.
Draw Timings Tips and FAQs
Where can I watch the live draw? The Directorate streams results at nagalandlotteries.com, and the Doordarshan Northeast regional feed broadcasts the 8:00 PM Evening draw. Avoid third-party "prediction" sites, they publish fabricated numbers before the actual draw. What if a draw is delayed? Official delays are rare but can occur during severe weather or technical faults. The Directorate posts a notice on its website and reschedules within the same calendar day. Your ticket remains valid; no replacement is needed.
Can I buy tickets in advance for a future draw? Yes, authorised retailers sell tickets for any upcoming draw, provided the ticket is correctly date-stamped. Always confirm the printed draw date and time before leaving the counter. Note that the Dear Evening draw at 8:00 PM consistently draws the highest ticket volumes, meaning larger prize pools but stiffer competition compared with the Morning slot.
